Recorded in the summer of 2012, these 15 instrumental tracks are the result of an intense 2 week period of sonic exploration.

Some are carefully composed and arranged, others are freely improvised. The moods range from calm and dreamy to agitated and chaotic.

Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke, together with Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) have been asked by Paul Wallfisch, the musical director of Theater Dortmund, to collaborate/ compose and play music live for their new theater piece "REPUBLIK DER WÖLFE" based on Grimm fairytales and Pulitzer prize-winning poet Anne Sexton's book Transformations.

Einstürzende Neubauten sind wieder im Studio und arbeiten an einer neuen, aussergewöhnlichen Komposition.

Die Premiere mit einem speziell konzipierten Konzert findet am 8.11.2014 in Diksmuide, Belgien statt.

Weitere Aufführungen in Europa sind geplant.

Die Performance ist zugleich der künstlerische Auftakt der Veranstaltungsreihe "Gegen das Vergessen: Gone West - die Zerstörung von Diksmuide 1914-2014“.
