The Cut, the new movie by Fatih Akin, starring Tahar Rahim will be running in competition at the 71st Venice International Film Festival this year.
Alexander Hacke provides the entire original music for this incredible picture. The Cut will open in cinemas worldwide this fall.

The Gothe Institute is doing an exhibition in 2015 with the title "Geniale Dilletanten". Subculture of the 80ies in Germany in art, music, fashion, film and literature. The exhibition will be shown in Germany and touring worldwide in cooperation with local partner institutions. Einstuerzende Neubauten will be one of the main protagonists with a strong focus on their work.

Alexander Hacke sings a duet with German Icon actress Iris Berben in her new movie "Miss Sixty" (release April 15th ).

The Unsemble is an exiting new collaboration of Duane Denison ( Tomahawk, The Jesus Lizard), Alexander Hacke and Brian Kotzur (Silver Jews, Harmony Korine).

Recorded in the summer of 2012, these 15 instrumental tracks are the result of an intense 2 week period of sonic exploration.

Some are carefully composed and arranged, others are freely improvised. The moods range from calm and dreamy to agitated and chaotic.

Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke, together with Mick Harvey (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) have been asked by Paul Wallfisch, the musical director of Theater Dortmund, to collaborate/ compose and play music live for their new theater piece "REPUBLIK DER WÖLFE" based on Grimm fairytales and Pulitzer prize-winning poet Anne Sexton's book Transformations.
